Girish Chandra Ghosh (1st statue, 1929)
There are two full length statues of the great poet and playwright Girish Chandra Ghosh. The first statue was put up in the new Park in Jorapukur Square. It was sculpted by Vinayak Rao Venkat Rao Waghle.

Edwin Samuel Montagu (1931)
The statue of Edwin Samuel Montagu was the first one of its kind sculpted by a lady. It was put up in the premises of the Assembly House. It was sculpted by Lady Kathlen Hilton Young.

Sir Ashutosh Mukhopaddhay (1934)
The statue of Sir Ashutosh Mukherjee was ensconced in the heart of Calcutta at the junction of Chowringhee, Bentinck street and Chittaranjan Avenue. The statue was put up in a small triangular park. The sculptor of this statue was Debi Prasad Roychowdhury. This was in fact the sixth statue of an Indian which was put up in a public place.

Sir Rajendranath Mukhopaddhay (1938)
Sir Rajendranath Mukhopaddhay was a renowned industrial and a social reformer. His statue was made by Gopeswar Pal of Krishnanagar. It was put up on the western entrance of the Dalhousie Square.

George V (1939)
A full-length statue of King George V was put up in Calcutta. It was the last effigy of a British monarch in Calcutta. The sculptor of this statue was William Mac Millan, the royal academician of England.

Surendranath Bandopaddhay (1941)
The full-length bronze statue of 'Rashtraguru' Surendranath Bandopaddhay is snugly ensconced at Curzon Park. It was sculpted by Debi Prasad Roychowdhury, the notable sculptor. It was sculpted after after sixteen years of his death.

Nalini Ranjan Sarkar (1953)
The statue of Nalini Ranjan Sarkar, the distinguished economist and statesman is reminiscent of a tragic incident. On the very day of the dismantling of his statue, Nalini Ranjan passed away. His statue was dismantled in the central office of Hindustan Life Insurance & Co-operative Society. Its sculptor was Pradosh Dasgupta.

Rani Rashmani (1st statue, 1954)
The statue of the pious queen Rashmoni was put up in Dakshineswar in the northern suburbs of Calcutta. This was the first statue of the queen which was erected on the entrance of the Nav Ratna Temple in Dakshineswar. This sculpted by Sudhir Pal of Krishna Nagar. Again, in 1978, the West Bengal Government took the initiative to sculpt the second statue of the queen in the heart of the city.

Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy (1955)
There is a full-length statue of the saintly scientist and erudite scholar Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy in Calcutta. His statue was built after eleven years of his demise. The name of the sculptor is not known till date.

Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das (1st statue, 1958)
There are two full-length statues of 'Deshbandhu' Chittaranjan Das. The first effigy was put up in 1958 in Deshbandhu Park which is situated in north Calcutta. It was sculpted by Sunil Pal.
