Marble Palace is located on C.R. Avenue in north Calcutta at Muktaram Babu Street,
Chorabagan. It was built in 1855. It was a famous place in those
days and was known for the Mullicks. The palace contains
numerous object-d'-arts, statues, pictures & oil paintings.
Reuben's masterpieces are also preserved there. There is also an original painting by
Sir Joshua Reynolds. The ground of the palace contains number
of aviaries, floor to ceiling mirrors, marble statues and some rare
animals in cages. It is closed on Mondays and Thursdays.
