| Salient Features of Revised Telecom Tariff: |
|
1.Bi-monthly rental charge will be Rs. 500/- instead of
Rs.380/- if the no. of calls made in previous two months period exceeds 400.
2.Local Call Charging : 1 unit per 3 minutes (instead of 5 minutes)
3.Call Charge Rate Slab : 1st 150 calls : Free. 151 to 400 calls : @ 80 p per unit.
401 to 1000 calls : @ Re. 1/- per unit. Beyond 1000 calls: @ Rs. 1.20/- per unit.
4.Reduction in long distance STD call charges : 15% to 40% depending on distance.
5.For calls made from STD PCO Booths : Unit of call charge, Rs. 1.20/- per unit. Addl. Service charge for STD calls from PCO booth : Rs. 2/- per STD call.
For all types of charges : Service Tax @ 5% to be paid extra.

| PHONE BILLS AND PAYMENT |

Issue of Phone Bills : Phone bills are issued regularly by ordinary post as per a bi-monthly billing schedule. Bills issued in a month contain rental charge and call charges for the previous two months. The Bill may also contain other charges like Inland and Intemational Trunk Call charges, accessories rent, Ticket Calls (calls for any broken period not collected in any earlier bill) etc.
What to do if you do not receive your phone Bill ?
Keep a mental note of your bill issue interval. Around the time your bill is expected to be issued, you may ascertain your phone bill amount by dialing 1501/1502/1503. You can get the information Faxed to you too.
N.B. It is a FREE service.
If you are not getting your Bill or notice some address mistake.
Please dial “152” and tell your problem. The service is FREE.
How to Pay Phone Bills ?
A phone bill is payable within the due date printed on the bill. After receiving your phone bill you may pay it within due date (irrespective of the bill date) at any of the Bill Collection Centres listed below or at any of the Post Offices listed below. You may pay either by cash or by
cheque. If you have not received your bill but have ascertained the bill amount by dialing 1501/1502/1503 you may pay through “PAY-IN-SLIP” or against “duplicate” bill.
You can pay your Telephone bill within “ Due date “ to the following branches of the Syndicate Bank in
Cash/Cheque/DD/Pay order.

Disconnection of
Phones for non-payment and its Reconnection
If
a bill is not paid, a phone line is disconnected after 35 days
from the Bill date. A phone
line is not disconnected on a day if the following day is a Saturday or
a holiday. For the 1st
15 days after disconnection for non-payment, only the outgoing calls are
stopped; then all calls are blocked.
After disconnection, a phone is reconnected on payment of all
outstanding dues. Reconnection
fee of Rs. 100/- is levied in the subsequent bill.
If the dues are not paid within six months from the date of
disconnection, the phone connection is treated as Permanently Closed.
Restoration, thereafter, is subject to sanction of Competent
Authority. Rental charge
for the period the phone remains disconnected on account of non-payment
of dues, shall be borne by the subscriber.

after paying phone bill, if your phone gets disconnected, inform by
dialing “151’. The
Service is FREE and your phone will be reconnected on the same day.

This facility will save your valuable time. Assign yourself 2
digit codes for Phone Nos. you dial most often (max. 10 such).
Call
Transfer :
This facility will not keep you detached from your own
telephone from incoming calls when you are out to your friends’ or
relatives’ place. Divert
your I/C calls to any phone in the city.
Revert to normal when you wish.
Hot
Line :
This is two-in-one facility in your telephone. You can opt to be connected to any pre-chosen phone number by
lifting your handset and waiting without dialing for 5 secs.
For normal use of your phone just start dialing within 5 secs. Of
lifting handset.
Call
Waiting
: This facility
virtually gives you a benefit of second phone for your incoming calls.
When you are talking on phone you will be informed if another call is
waiting. You may then
choose to talk to either party alternately.
Conference
: This facility will
restrain you from moving outside to hold a conference with your friends.
This you can do from your telephone itself taking two of your
friends on the line.
For
all the above facilities, you have to apply to DE (Intel.) of your
Telephone Exchange. Charges
are Rs. 20/- per month for each of the service.

dialing from a phone in the same locality as your faulty phone. Otherwise dial
(Exchange Code) of faulty Phone No. followed by 2198 - (in general).
Manual complaint booking is from 8 AM. to 8 PM. In addition, automatic 24
hrs. complaint booking facility is available in some exchanges.
